Google Calendar Data Usage
DictaAI offers optional integration with Google Calendar to enable automated scheduling of AI-powered meeting transcription bots.
1. Information We Access
With your explicit authorization through Google OAuth 2.0, DictaAI accesses limited Google Calendar data using the https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.readonly scope.
This may include:
- Event title
- Event date and time
- Event description (if available)
- Conference or meeting link (e.g., Google Meet URL)
- Calendar identifier necessary to retrieve event details
We do not access unrelated Google services such as Gmail, Google Drive, or Contacts.
2. Purpose of Access
Google Calendar data is accessed solely to:
- Identify scheduled meetings selected by the user
- Extract meeting time and conferencing link
- Automatically deploy a transcription bot (via Recall.ai) to the specified meeting
Calendar data is used strictly to provide meeting transcription services requested by the user. We do not use Google Calendar data for advertising, marketing, profiling, or analytics resale.
3. No Modification of Calendar Data
DictaAI uses the calendar.events.readonly permission.
We do not:
- Create calendar events
- Edit calendar events
- Delete calendar events
- Modify attendees
- Send invitations
We only read event details necessary to schedule the transcription bot.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade Google Calendar data.
Calendar information is only used internally to initiate the transcription bot. Limited event details (such as meeting link and scheduled time) may be transmitted securely to Recall.ai solely for the purpose of joining the specified meeting.
All third-party integrations operate under contractual confidentiality and security obligations.
5. Data Storage and Security
Calendar data is processed securely over encrypted HTTPS connections.
If temporary storage is required for scheduling purposes:
- Data is stored within Reckspace Dedicated secure infrastructure
- Encryption is applied in transit and at rest
- Access is restricted via role-based access controls
- OAuth tokens are securely stored and protected
We follow industry-standard security practices to safeguard user data.
6. Data Retention
Calendar data is retained only for the minimum time necessary to:
- Schedule the transcription bot
- Support meeting-related processing requested by the user
We do not permanently store full calendar histories.
Users may request deletion of stored data at any time.
7. Revoking Access
Users may revoke DictaAI’s access to their Google Calendar at any time by:
- Visiting: https://myaccount.google.com/permissions
- Selecting DictaAI
- Clicking “Remove Access”
Once access is revoked, DictaAI will no longer be able to access calendar data.
